Double flange differential pressure (DP) transmitter is a highly reliable instrument used to measure the level of liquids in closed or pressurized tanks by detecting the pressure difference between two points. It is equipped with two flanges, one positioned at the top and the other at the bottom of the tank, allowing it to measure both the hydrostatic pressure at the bottom of the liquid and the pressure exerted by the gas or vapor at the top.
High Precision Measurement: These transmitters provide highly accurate readings of liquid levels, often within ±0.05% to ±0.1% of the full-scale range, making them ideal for critical processes where precision is essential.
Single Flange with Remote Seal: The transmitter is connected to the process via a single flange with a remote seal. The remote seal isolates the sensing diaphragm from the process liquid, preventing direct contact and protecting the transmitter from aggressive chemicals, extreme temperatures, or viscous media.
Differential Pressure Measurement: The device measures the difference between the pressure at the bottom of the tank (via the flange) and a reference pressure (often atmospheric or in the gas phase at the top of the tank). The differential pressure is then used to calculate the liquid level.
